Munro’s Books has been a staple of downtown Victoria and a destination for book lovers for over 55 years. Founded in 1963, the store has been in its current location in Victoria’s old town since 1984, when founder Jim Munro purchased and restored the stunning, neo-classical building that was designed for the Royal Bank of Canada in 1909. With its heritage building and striking artwork, Munro’s Books is often included in lists of the world’s most beautiful bookstores.
