The Unmentionables: Writing from the Margins in a Politically Charged World

October 18 @ 1:00 pm - 2:15 pm
Free – $20

with S. Bear Bergman, jaye simpson, and Kai Cheng Thom

In a time when stories are challenged, silenced, or erased, writing becomes more than just craft—it becomes resistance. This powerful panel brings together trans writers and writers of colour to explore how storytelling can be a refuge, a rebellion, and a reckoning. Moderated by award-winning author Danny Ramadan, The Unmentionables dives into the transformative power of writing from the margins. How does the act of telling one’s truth become a form of healing? What does it mean to create art when your very existence is politicized? And how do marginalized voices reimagine the world through fiction, poetry, and memoir? Join us for a conversation that is urgent, intimate, and deeply resonant—a space where the unspoken finds its voice.
