Gurjinder Basran—Help! I’m Alive

Wednesday, June 22, 7:00-8:00 PDT

Gurjinder Basran’s debut novel, Everything Was Good-bye, was the winner of the Ethel Wilson Fiction Award in 2011. Gurjinder was named as one of CBC’s “Ten Canadian women writers you need to read.”. She mentors writers at VMI, while also balancing a successful career in Telecommunication. She lives in Delta, BC.

When a teen dies, four people are left spinning, each trying to deal with their grief and face the dissatisfactions of their lives. Fresh, insightful, and propulsive, Help! I’m Alive sensitively and authentically explores the challenges of death…and of living on.

Facilitated by Robert Wiersema
